Personal Change

Personal change can be challenging, stimulating and scary but it is always rewarding. These guidelines are designed to support you in your journey towards inner change and personal growth.

  • When you set your goals make sure they really are yours and not someone else's expectations of you.
  • Make sure you're fully committed to your dream. Commitment combined with a clear goal supports you when you have setbacks and disappointments.
  • Notice what expectations you have of yourself, others and life in general. Expectations are always preceded by the word 'should'. Think about which expectations are valid, which are out-of-date and which are harmful and unrealistic.
  • Notice your limiting beliefs about what you are and are not capable of achieving. Limiting beliefs keep you small and mediocre. Your dreams set you free.
  • Start a journal to record your thoughts, feelings and insights. Writing things down help you become clearer about what really matters to you.
  • Look at the people in your life: do they support you or do they put you and your dreams down, criticising and belittling you? Be sure you surround yourself with positive people who support, encourage and believe in you.
  • And, above all, be patient with yourself!
